Ritual Chocolate, based in Park City, Utah, has been crafting small-batch, bean-to-bar chocolate since 2010. Founded by Robbie Stout and Anna Davies, their mission is to produce exceptional quality chocolate while honoring the complexity of cacao. Using a blend of traditional European methods and modern American style, they create smooth chocolate that preserves the nuanced flavors of their well-sourced cacao. Starting in a tiny Colorado studio and now based in Utah, they combine old-world techniques with advanced machinery. Ritual Chocolate believes that chocolate creates meaningful experiences and rituals, valuing the little moments it brings to life. They are deeply committed to sourcing their cacao ethically and sustainably, forming long-term partnerships with farmers and cooperatives who prioritize environmental and social impact, ensuring a future of enjoyable cacao for all.

    Made from cacao nibs that are aged in bourbon whiskey barrels. This is by no means a whiskey flavored chocolate, but the flavor of the whiskey is detectable.

    This chocolate is made with a blend of cacao nibs that are aged in High West Distillery bourbon whiskey barrels for several months. This process provides subtle notes of the charred, white American Oak and light hints of bourbon whiskey. Aging the nibs in a fresh whiskey barrel has an interesting affect on the final flavor of the chocolate. This is by no means a whiskey flavored chocolate, but the flavor of the whiskey is detectable. What really stands out is the "mellowing" effect of the oak whiskey barrel. The chocolate tastes a bit "softer around the edges" and has a pleasant aroma and aftertaste. Due to this unique aging process, this chocolate is extremely limited. High West is one of the whiskey distilleries in Park City, Utah and is the go-to whiskey for those who want a little taste of the high mountain west. 60g / 2.12 oz per bar.
