Collection: Le Guerandais
Le Guérandais is a French cooperative brand rooted in the salt marshes of Guérande, where passionate salt workers united in the 1970s to protect their craft, land, and livelihoods from industrialization and development. Officially formed as an agricultural cooperative in 1988, the group is built on shared values of sustainability, solidarity, and the preservation of a centuries-old artisanal tradition. Through the Le Guérandais brand, they promote salts that reflect both a unique natural environment and a deep cultural heritage.
Harvested by hand using techniques passed down for over 2,000 years, Le Guérandais salts come from protected marshlands along the Brittany coast, a rich ecosystem shaped by the sea and human care. Recognized for quality and origin with certifications such as Label Rouge and PGI, the range includes coarse, fine, flavored salts, and Fleur de Sel. Today, the cooperative remains committed to environmental stewardship and traditional methods while sharing its distinctive French sea salts with customers worldwide.
