Bees & Beans, based in Portland, Oregon, is a gourmet confectionery founded in 2010 by Faith Dionne, a skilled pastry chef with a passion for using honey as the ideal sweetener. Their handmade treats, created in small batches, showcase the finest local ingredients from the Pacific Northwest, including honey, butter, cream, and hazelnuts, all enveloped in top-quality domestic chocolate. The company places a strong emphasis on eco-friendly packaging. Known for their unique twist on classic candy bars, their offerings include the Honey Bar Jr, Honey Bar Reserve, and Malt Bar. Bees & Beans began with the aim of reinventing the classic candy bar by replacing candy coatings with domestic dark chocolate, using local honey instead of corn syrup, and selecting the best regional nuts, butter, and sea salts. In 2016, Andrea Marks took over the company, continuing the tradition of using local ingredients and honey in their Pacific Northwest-inspired candy bars.
