Domori Criollo Porcelana 50g Bar
$9.50 As low as: $8.55Out of stock
Dark Bittersweet 70% cacao, Venezuela
Porcelana is an extremely rare and precious plant.
Grown in the Andes since antiquity, it was rediscovered and grafted by Domori in the late 90s, in their Hacienda San José plantation in Venezuela. The name comes from the translucency of its green or red fruits, making them look like porcelain. The beans are oval with a completely smooth surface. Porcelana is also one of the most delicate cacaos: once ripe, the fruits become prey to insects and fungi.
The chocolate crafted from this variety has notes of hazelnuts, cream, vanilla, and bread crust. The lack of acidity enhances its sweetness and roundness.
